Call me nuts but I refuse to believe Thomas McAllister is Red John and I have many reasons as to why he isn't.
1) Why would he risk he life just to go to the church I mean the real Red John would've known that Patrick Jane was going to kill him one way or the other?
2) Thomas McAllister doesn't seem like the cunning, intelligent type if you catch my drift.
3) He came up to Patrick Jane claiming he was Red John, doesn't it remind you of someone... I mean
this is a game for Red John why would he come out of the blue like that? 4) Why when Patrick Jane shot him the first time, he was begging for mercy because I do recall in the Season 4 finale he said "There is no hell, so if you kill me I won't be punished for what I have done" So it is like he isn't afraid of death?
5) When Patrick putting his hands around his neck he said "Please, I'll tell you how HE got the list of suspects" I think that's what he said because that's what I heard
6) When Patrick got all the 5 suspects on the house to show their tattoos and when McAllister did it first he said bodly "I am NOT Red John", and after the explosion I believe Red John ordered him to trick Patrick into telling him that he is Red John which leads to...
7) As the next episode sypnosis is that Patrick Jane runs off to South America and something brings him back to law enforcement...this could be the fact that Red John has striked again and Thomas McAllister was just a tool and it relates to 6) as he could have used Thomas McAllister as a way to re-cooperate and get back in the lead
